your Italian nonna
Nonna Elide is a Swedish brand with roots in the Italian family kitchen, where food is made with love and dinner is best enjoyed in plenty of good company.
The name Nonna Elide comes from a food-loving Italian housewife who, out of love for her family and her village, understood the importance of caring for local producers and locally grown ingredients. With the pantry right outside her door, flour from the neighbouring farm and meat from the village butcher, nonna poured heart and soul into her cooking – on the stove, the ragù would simmer for at least a full day, the pasta, made with eggs from the family's own hens, was hand-kneaded to perfection, and the bread was always freshly baked.
Times have changed, and these days few of us want to spend every waking hour cooking, however great the passion. Our ambition is to create products that make it possible to cook with nonna's touch and love, adapted to modern life. Today, Nonna Elide stands for genuine, handcrafted premium products made from carefully selected ingredients at fair prices. Our goal is to work primarily with small-scale producers in Italy and Spain.
Elide never understood "lagom". At her house there was always one more plate, one more chair at the table, one more splash of olive oil. That generosity is our inheritance — and our promise.
